A true land conservation gem! Monument Creek Conservancy is a 380-acre property located in the foothills of the Black Range just southwest of Winston in Sierra County. The original owners placed a conservation easement over the entire property in 2004. The property is at an elevation of about 6,500 feet with rolling topography consisting of mixed pinon-juniper woodlands with montane grassland areas. A narrow band of riparian woodland is found along Monument Creek, an intermittent stream. The property is completely off-grid. Electrical power is supplied by a system of solar panels and batteries. Drinking water is supplied by a well that is about 200' deep. There is a septic leach field onsite. Live off-grid in New Mexico at the Monument Creek Conservancy!
