Considered part of the Albuquerque metro area, Cedar Crest is a historic community in its own right. You'll find Cedar Crest homes consist  largely of acreages (most are around .5 acres), which is in keeping with its historically rural roots. The community is situated on what's known as the Turquoise Trail, which connects the villages of Tijeras, Cedar Crest, Sandia Park, Golden, Madrid and Cerrillos.
